I was recently asked during an interview, "What exactly do you mean by healing?"
A question I seem to need to define quite often, so I thought I would share it with you.
From my perspective, Healing is an active state of being that promotes beneficial change. It may be positive change in your physical state, emotional or mental state or it may be a change in how you feel spiritually. They are many ways you can experience healing. Does healing mean curing? No, it doesn't, but many times curing happens through being in a state of healing. Like a cut or wound on your skin, healing is a journey, a process that sometimes includes exposing some of the ugly stuff before feeling better. How pretty does a cut or bruise look before it stops hurting? Your arm can turn an array of black, blue and rainbow colors before returning to normal. Our emotional and mental bodies are the same. Sometimes they feel black and blue during the healing process but that changes too. Healing IS a process. When we are in an active state of healing we can be open to experiencing many deep and meaning life reflections... Reflections that can bring wisdom and depth to our everyday lives........Hooray!
