Lauren shares ‘A Little Faith’ with us...  (For Part 1 of this interview, please click here.)

~ Where do you find faith when you feel like hope is gone?

Lauren~
I find faith in silence. When I quiet my mind I can hear the truth, a calmness and clear knowing of where hope lives.  I also find faith in the selfless acts of others.  There are so many compassionate and loving people in the world.

When my faith is fading I look to them and remember that I’m not alone here.  I remember that I am connected to all of the miracles taking place in the world and I connect my heart to them.



~ How do you envision others using this song?  Are there specific groups of people you're feeling this would be particularly beneficial for?

Lauren~
Like all of the music I write, my highest vision is that anyone who listens can have a direct experience of oneness, that there heart may be lighter and open. 

I think people can use this song for healing, for introspection, and reattaching their intention to hope if it’s lost.


~ The song has a lullaby quality to it, quiet and gentle.  Was that your intention?  What do you hope that feeling will convey?

Lauren~
The simplicity of the song was definitely intentional so that the music and voice act as guides to the listener.  We colored the song with a dreamy soundscape to lift the listener into experiencing the moment with self compassion and nurturing.

I didn’t hear it as a lullaby when creating the song, but I hear it now.  I guess it is a lullaby, one we can sing to ourselves when we need reassurance.


~ Are there other songs coming soon that will partner with the theme of this one?

Lauren~
This is the only song in my next collection that has this quality. Other songs in the collection are more lively, with more groove.  We have some Motown sounding tracks, country, acoustic and electric rock mixes too.  It’s a very eclectic collection of music, but somehow it all works together.
