In stressful times I take care of weakness in my heart, body and mind...
I listen to my feelings and quiet my inner critic. I pay attention to my body and sense where I am carrying tension. Often times I don’t breath as deeply when I’m stressed.
I stretch more, take deep breaths and use essential oils. Vetiver is great, as is Lavender, and Sandalwood is very grounding.
I take probiotics to boost my immune health and feel better when I take B complex Vitamins, Vitamin C. Chamomile Lavender Tea is a favorite too. Making fresh green juice, eating whole foods, no sugar or caffeine really saves me from stress.
I’ll journal at night before bed and listen to calming music, always staying away from the television an hour before I hit the hay.
Actually, if I am really stressed out, I will opt for a hot bath instead of any television or computer at night. The hot bath really helps create more positive space in my head and allows me to be in my heart more. I add essential oils to the bath as well, then I really sleep deeply.
Surrounding myself with positive uplifting people is so important too. Laughing is an instant cure. Actually, laughing changes your biochemistry sending “happy chemicals throughout your body”. I have heard of people who have cured themselves of cancer by watching funny movies for weeks on end.
Usually when I’m stressed I am taking life way too seriously. Even in uncertain times a good belly laugh changes everything. Tapping into my 4th grader humor transforms me and is the best medicine always.

Sometimes it’s the little things that make the most difference in helping to relieve tension and reduce stress. Take care and give yourself what you need. A good laugh and a hot bath is a relaxing way to start. Create a space to nurture yourself. Let go, be silly and let love in.
Be well...
Love,
Lauren
