On Thursday Feb. 25 at 6:30pm PT
I will be hosting the first episode of Resiliency with my husband Rick. Through this year we will be interviewing amazing professionals in the fields of health and resiliency as well as special celebrity guests who have overcome challenging times. The show is sponsored by RDF’s Veteran’s Resiliency Program as a outreach for our Veterans and their families. The content of the show will be helpful to EVERYONE.

We are encouraging all of you to listen, call in and participate.

Many of our guests Rick and I have worked with first hand.  It will be a very personal show with the intention of helping others get through the dark times and give people support, information and new paths to becoming whole again. Also, throughout the show we’ll be showcasing new music.

Go to: www.blogtalkradio.com/resiliency-radio to read more about the show, our guests and to listen :)

Words of Children Give Me Hope

PDFPrintE-mail

Tuesday, 19 January 2010 16:15

The Words of Children are giving me hope.

It is clear to me that many children now are more awake then ever.  Their sense of compassion is tangible and they do not fear living from their heart.  Over the past few months I have heard stories of children’s comments like the one my husband told me last night.

He was waiting in line at the drug store and a small child around 5 years old noticed that he only had one arm.  The little girl approached him right away and asked him what had happened.  My husband told her that he was in a bad car accident.

He told me her response was so compassionate and the look on her face was so pure and honest.  She looked him square in the eye and said, “I am SOOO SORRY that that happened to you.  I feel so bad that that happened to you.  I’m so Sorry!”

I have heard stories of youth helping strangers for no reason and saying we just want to make the world a better place.  Many children are awake and unafraid.  This brings hope to my heart and I celebrate our children as they grow and help heal our world through their shining brave hearts.
